Sri J.Krishna Kumar, belonging to the historic land of Chinnamannur a beautiful village near Theni was initially nurtured in Dance by Smt. Chithra Ramanathan of Annamalai University and later under the giant Art Banyan of Kalakshethra. The living legends Padmabhushan Prof.C.V.Chandhrasekhar and Smt.Jaya Chandhrasekhar aesthetically sculptured him in this divine art form. He is an affable teacher, an energetic performer and a charismatic choreographer.
He has eminently choreographed numerous dance ballets like

- Padhuka Patabhhishekam
- Swagatham Krishna
- Valli Thirumanam
- Pranasaka Sri Krishna.
Apart from excelling in this visual art he is also an eloquent compere and an enthusiastic singer. The colorful feathers of Yuvakala Vipanchi award from DR.M.Balamuralikrishna’s Vipanchi trust and the Nrithyakalarathna from Nriththa Indian Fine Arts (Melbourne, Australia) were added to his artistic crown. He has also spread the fragnence of this graceful art in the lands of Japan, Australia, USA and many other countries. He founded Shri Nrithyalaya a dance institute in Chennai. He has been a dedicated teacher for two glorious decades at Kendra and has moulded numerous young minds in this ancient art form.
